YOUR GARDEN SHED: OUR VOCATION
Today, we invite you to go back in time. Here we are in April 1986. At 16 years old, François Fortin already has a passion for working with wood. Having already helped in renovation his grandparents mobile home and helping in finishing his uncle’s basement, he has accumulated a good experience. Seeing his son looking for projects, his father gave him the suggestion in making a garden shed and selling it. It didn’t take him long to start the project immediately ! April 20th, 1986, he sold his first garden shed. During this period his mother was battling an illness and passed away a few months later. Remembering words that his mother said. He could never make a living from ‘making garden sheds,’ François draws all his strength from her words to prove her wrong. Still at school but his heart elsewhere, he graduates in 1989 with a diploma that has never served him. He then sets himself up in his father’s small garage ready to make his ambition a reality.
A FIRST SUCCESSFUL EXPANSION
In 1992, with the help of family and friends, he officially sets up his first business of garden sheds in the west island. The business will take another 10 years to truly expand. But in 2002, the biggest challenge that the company has known presents itself: to multiply by 12 the work surface, and to build on a property 16 times bigger. No need to tell you that the challenge was met with flying colours. And here we are 35 years later. Who would have believed ? To this day, thousands of garden sheds have been sold. If you open your eyes, you will surely see a few of our creations around you ! For François and his whole team, this is an accomplishment that comes straight from the heart.
